SKS Engineers was invited by Ghafari Associates, LLC in November 2021 to work alongside Palmer Engineering to perform a drainage study on the site of a Ferrero USA facility expansion in Bloomington, IL. The expansion would include additions to existing buildings, drainage features, entrance drives, and a parking lot. SKS checked Palmer Engineering’s proposed site designs and found that the overall site would not at risk for exposure to flood conditions, and the proposed detention design from Palmer Engineering based upon the improvements as set forth in their construction plans would control the runoff from the site in accordance with local and state guidelines with release rates equivalent to existing conditions.
